An arrangement of a traditional Norwegian Christmas song, with text by Johan Krohn to a melody by the German composer Christopher Weyse. It was originally commissioned by Kitchen Orchestra with soloists Eva Bjerga Haugen (voc) and Knut Wedø (recorder). A bit of an ironic piece, it starts out as a humoristic jazz duet between the two soloists, moves on to an up tempo jazz-waltz which is then interrupted by an atonal “Hallelujah” choir.
